Welcome
Nestling under Kilnsey Crag alongside the route of the original
pack-horse road, Tennant Arms was built in the 17th century as
a coaching inn
for travellers passing through Wharfedale.
It is ideally situated for walking and touring, and is within
easy reach of the market town of Skipton and spa towns of Harrogate
and Ripon, or for visiting Bolton Abbey and numerous local castles. A notable landmark among the Great Scar limestone scenery, the
Kilnsey Crag was scoured out by a glacier during the Ice Age
and is almost 170 feet high with an overhang of 40 feet.
